Turn the post down on a lathe so you can get it to minimul run out, turn it down 1/2" smaller than I'd of ends, fiberglass it to exact size, then coat in 200mph tape.

Fun fact, two 2x4s glued and screwed together will be stronger than the 4x4. That would be a good test:)

Use a couple pieces of rebar it’ll end up twisting together it’ll look cool and if the welds are strong enough it shouldn’t break

Hell yeah brothers that was a great idea! I think if you took multiple pieces of plywood and glued them together to make a 4x4 it would be WAY stronger due to the alternating grain of the plywood. It might even handle a burnout. Maybe even wrap it in flex tape for extra stiffness. Bog deep and let 'er eat!

That means the post was cut from the center of the tree and you can see the round tree rings complete circle in the end of the post. These pieces are stronger and should not split as easy. You can see in the video your post only has a section of the tree ring or grain on the end.

Not pine or dug fur. Oak would have been better but it too would only be as strong as its glue and fasteners before it would shear and spin in the drive shaft ends. For the strongest glue to use you should use this man's Youtube channel. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC2rzsm1Qi6N1X-wuOg_p0Ng/videos look for glue or epoxy testing results. Why would they use wood when it will not work? You would have thousands stranded on the roads of whatever country they were in. Waste of time and effort...BORING~!~ Trying to tie "Dumb and Dumber"?
